Style Scout: Models off-duty

Sometimes the best of fashion week is seen off the runway. I do find streetstyle more inspiring and down-to-earth than some avant-garde designers' runway looks, which are meant to stay on the runway. The models' streetstyle introduce nothing new, but nothing short of chic too. Their back-to-basics outfits never go out of style as shown in the fashion week snaps below.

Tailored

Chanel's double-breasted blazer is one statement-making basic to appear effortlessly chic amidst the clamour and glamour of fashion week. Imogen Morris-Clarke shimmery minidress and black buttonless jacket stood out against a backdrop of European city lights.
Military

Military-style coats with brass buttons and checkered scarfs never fail to look chic and keep out of the wintry cold.
Leather

Black leather is everywhere- paired with graphic tees, checkered shirts or simply an all balck ensemble as worn by Kiki Kang.

Fur

Sara Blomqvist balanced her oversized fur coat with a waist-cinching belt and basic black leggings, while Skye Stracke's black fur-trimmed collar trench is a classic staple in a fall wardrobe.

  1. gorgeous! i love the tailored photos, especially the second one of that category. i'd love to exchange links with you. i know how hard it is to get your blog well-known when you're just starting out. i just started my blog in november and it just started getting popular around 2 months ago...
to help you out, though, comment, comment, comment on other people's blogs!!!! the blogger will hopefully respond (or a little trick is to ask a question to be sure that they respond) and other people who visit the blog and comment will see your comment and maybe click on it.
also, be really nice to people and always return other people's comments. it shows that you are a personable person and they will like you and probably come back.
the reason i've gotten so many comments is because i respond to every comment people say on my blog as well as comment on all the blogs in my blog roll. also, be very nice and say nice things (even if you don't like the blog that much) because people will appreciate your kindness and be more apt to visit your blog.
isn't it amazing how much psychology is involved in this?
if you want, I could feature you too. i know how much it stinks to try to start your blog (i've been in that boat only a couple of months ago) and attract traffic to it, so i want to help you out.
    xoxo,
    Micaela

  3. I love it when they wear tailored clothing compared to the usual baggy shirts and loose jeans look.

They have such lovely lean figures, its such a shame to hide them.

  10. Checkered scarf has a good match with the military coat.
