t.r.e.n.d: Of studs and such

Magazine: i-D (Issue #300)
Editorial: Suvi in Studs
Photographer: David Vasiljevic

Moi Lolita

So let us embrace studs and grommet with open arms. Embedded in bodycon dresses, vests, strappy heels and belts (just to name a few), we can't deny that these metal accents make an outfit look edgier, sexier and tougher.

The i.t. list:

studs and such

[clockwise from top left] Tops & Tuniks white vest, Gio Lorenzi studded leather shoes, Topshop tutu stud dress*, BE & D studded garbo bag, Cecilia de Bucourt studded scarf, Stella McCartney patented grommet clutch*, Jeffrey Campbell gladiator sandal, Dorothy Perkins black suded stud belt, F21 engraved metal belt, No Jones stud skirt*
*absolute fave!

Fresh Spreads: Sun dance

Azure sky. White sandy beaches. Foamy waves. An ideal backdrop for summer editorials, ushering in the breezy wind yet casting away the heat spell. July's Numero Tokyo ed titled Solo dance featuring Tanya D captures the light and sheer of summer fashion. Dancing in the sun - be it in a Hermes candy-coloured striped maxi that catches the wind or the commfy tee and shorts is definitely great fun (minus the occasional sunburns). So all hail summer - the sun's up!

The last close-up...definitely one of my faves out of the bunch. Observe the matching brighy eye make-up and the rainbow hued dress.

Are sunny seashores too cliche a theme for fashion spreads? Nevertheless, they are wonderful in evoking the summer spirit, even in not-so-sunny countries.

Fresh Spreads: Revitalized Awakening

Source: The Fashion Spot

Don't these rejuvenate the senses and make you muse the break of dawn?

Numero 103 is shaping up to an incredibly inspiring issue, definitely one that will leave an impression for good. The magazine seems to reiterate the idea that simplicity is key, epitomizing Parisian chic. And producing such tranquil and serene editorials definitely does relief the tension felt in us urbanites.
